THE PROPHECY Part Ways With Keyboardist, Seek Replacement

July 27, 2004

U.K.-based doomsters THE PROPHECY have parted ways with keyboardist Katie Colbrook and are currently seeking a replacement. "Any budding keyboard players please get in touch for an audition," the band write on their web site. "Contact details can be found on the booking page or you can PM the band through the Doom-metal.com forum. We require a committed individual within (or willing to relocate to) the Halifax area who is able to learn new songs quickly and is able to reproduce them accurately in a recording or live arena. THE PROPHECY is a band dedicated to touring so the individual must be flexible to travel and must hold a European Union passport. Violin skills would also be useful."

THE PROPHECY recently entered Performance studios in Huddersfield with producer Al Smith to record their sophomore album.

THE PROPHECY, who were rejoined by bassist Will Castledine a few months ago, issued their debut CD, titled "Ashes", through Blackdoom Records, the label founded by MY DYING BRIDE guitarists Andrew Craighan and Hamish Glencross.
