June 28, 2006

According to Hits Daily Double, THE PANIC CHANNEL — the new band featuring three quarters of the most recent lineup of JANE'S ADDICTION (guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Chris Chaney) and former SKYCYCLE vocalist Steve Isaacs — debuted their new single, "Why Cry", on Rehearsals.com, the online digital portal powered by CenterStaging and MLB.com, on June 23. The band's rehearsal-and-interview session at CenterStaging's Burbank, Calif., studios was recorded in high-definition utilizing 10 cameras and 48 microphones to be streamed on the site. Watch the performance at this location.

Speaking about the band's upcoming debut album, "One", which will come out in August, Perkins said, "I think it's a great accomplishment for us to actually start from the ground level and put the band together. It's an accomplishment in my mind to really start a band again. And as far as schedules, everyone has their own life and stuff, but I think it's nice to have something like THE PANIC CHANNEL to bring us together and continue this path, and to make more music and especially, to write more music."
