THE OCEAN/BURST Split 7" Single Due In October

September 8, 2005

Garden of Exile Records has announced plans to release a limited-edition split seven-inch single from THE OCEAN and BURST. This will be a limited release on colored vinyl only. Artwork will be provided by Seldon Hunt (known for his work for ISIS, NEUROSIS and PELICAN) and will consist of a fold-out poster. THE OCEAN's contribution comes in the form of a seven-minute track, "Killing The Flies", that is said to be "more complex and brutal than anything you've heard before from this band." Guest vocals are provided by Nate Newton (CONVERGE, OLD MAN GLOOM) and Tomas Hallbom (BREACH). BURST's song "Flight's End" sees the group focusing more on experimentation, featuring "fragile melodic vocals intertwined with explosive screams, and waves of guitar weave as expressive and elaborate as human emotion itself," according to a press release. A mid-October release is expected. Pre-orders will start within the coming weeks. More information is available at www.gardenofexile.com.
