THE HIVES Get Bought Out!

According to Hits Daily Double, Sweden's THE HIVES will have their current and upcoming records purchased by Warner Bros. via a partnership with the group's current European/American labels Epitaph/Burning Heart Records. Warner Bros. chief Tom Whalley and Epitaph head Brett Gurewitz reportedly flew to Sweden last week to meet with the band.

THE HIVES hit the UK album charts with a compilation of their first two records, including Veni Vidi Vicious, which has sold in excess of 110,000 copies in Britain to date and has since been certified gold. Their track "Hate to Say I Told You So" was added to KROQ Los Angeles this week.
