THE HAUNTED's U.S. Touring Insanity Continues

August 29, 2005

Even though Ozzfest comes to close this week, THE HAUNTED's U.S. touring insanity continues immediately with a short East Coast stint supporting SHADOWS FALL, and The Fury of The Fall tour this October, alongside MESHUGGAH, GOD FORBID and MNEMIC, which leads them directly into a massive European trek with labelmates GOD FORBID. The group have been annihilating the unsuspecting masses all summer long on Ozzfest while garnering a whole new legion of fans with their pummeling Swedish thrash metal assault and highly energetic live show. They also recently completed a new video for "No Compromise", taken from their latest critically acclaimed offering "rEVOLVEr", with director Roger Johansson (IN FLAMES, SOILWORK); look for it now on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" and Fuse TV's "Metal Asylum".
Peter Dolving (vocals) checks in with the following tour report: "Sitting on the bus outside the venue and I'm still a little numb after the show. Today was a freakish one, but the audience are actually singing along — I take that as a sign that they're starting to pick up on what we're doing. That and the fact that people seem increasingly obsessed with A. Screaming in my face. B. Feeling me up. C. Trying to kiss me. I know I should take this as sign of success, but for some reason, I keep getting flashbacks to my childhood. I'm not complaining though, believe me — this sure beats playing dingy 150-capacity holes in the wall where electricity comes from the utility store next door. The dude with the giant swastika tattooed across his back still puzzles me, though. What goes on in that dude's head? The amount of misguided energy, lack of knowledge and confusion someone like that must be nailed down in is just beyond understanding.

"The L.A. area show was insane — fake blondes, dope galore, mosh crews and porn stars.

"We got a week left on this insane summer camp that we all know as Ozzfest so let’s do this shit. See you all soon."
