THE GATHERING: Dutch Shows To Be Filmed For Live DVD

August 13, 2004

Several photos of THE GATHERING from world-renowned photographer Peter Blok (winner of World Press photo award 1989 and 15-time "Silver Camera" award winner between 1988 and 2002) will be auctioned off on eBay in December with the proceeds going to charity. Each one-piece limited-edition enlarged photo will come in a 20 x 28 inch (50 x 70 cm) frame and will be supplied with authentic autographs of band and photographer. All proceeds from the auction will go to War Child Netherlands (www.warchild.nl).

THE GATHERING will perform two special shows at Dutch venues Mezz Concert & Dance in Breda and Groene Engel in Oss on October 15-16. For several songs, the band will be supported on stage by enormous video projections of clips made by national and international multimedia artists. A promising Dutch VJ will mix these clips with his own video art and live images of the band on stage. As a gift to the fans, the band will release the best video clips on a future live DVD.

After the Dutch tour dates, THE GATHERING will embark on a European tour, visiting such countries as France, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium along the way. The band are expected to perform highlights from their 15-year career along with several brand-new songs that will appear on the band's upcoming studio album, due in 2005.
