THE DUSKFALL Part Ways With Bassist

January 11, 2005

Luleå, Sweden-based metallers THE DUSKFALL have parted ways with bassist Kaj Molin. "[Kaj] decided to leave the band due to musical differences with the rest of the band," the group write on their web site.

"We all thank Kaj for his years of devotion for the band and we will miss him. No replacement is yet confirmed but well keep you posted on what the future will bring.

As previously reported, THE DUSKFALL are expected to enter Dug-Out studio in Uppsala, Sweden with producer Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH, STUCK MOJO) in April 2005 to begin recording their third album, tentatively due late next year via Nuclear Blast Records.

THE DUSKFALL, who recently announced the addition of session guitarist Antti Lindholm (from Finland's LAMBS) to the group's ranks, released their sophomore CD, "Source", in December 2003 through Greece's Black Lotus Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Frailty" was recorded at Dug-Out and was described by the band as "darker, faster, more melodical and catchy as hell!"
