THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Pulls Out Of SUICIDE SILENCE Tour

August 16, 2008

New Jersey "mathcore" band THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN has pulled out of the previously announced fall 2008 tour with SUICIDE SILENCE, EMMURE, and BENEATH THE MASSACRE. THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN writes on its MySpace page, "Due to circumstances beyond our control (no we're not breaking up so don't believe anything that might start floating around on the Internet),we will not be taking part in that tour. We wish every other band on the tour well, and hope that it is a great success for them and for the people behind the scenes working hard to make it a great tour."

In other news, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN has commenced the songwriting process for its next album which it plans to record sometime next year. "We have a good amount of ideas in the initial testing stages, and we're about to really dive in," the band says. "We also have a DVD of early years DILLINGER in the works for all you old heads or people interested in a history lesson."

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN has posted its "summer tour webisode 4" featuring performance footage from San Francisco, California as well as behind-the-scenes clips from the road. Watch the five-and-a-half-minute clip below.

After taking part in the 2008 Warped Tour, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN has just completed a run of North American dates with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, THROWDOWN and BURY YOUR DEAD.
