THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Frontman To Guest On New SOULFLY Album?

November 24, 2009

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN frontman Greg Puciato has revealed via Twitter that he has been writing and recording a "duet" with Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, SEPULTURA),presumably to be included on the forthcoming SOULFLY album, which is currently being recorded in Los Angeles. Puciato described the track as "very 'Chaos A.D.' [SEPULTURA] era" and said it was a "great experience" to collaborate with "a living legend."

SOULFLY entered Edge Of The Earth studios in Hollywood, California on November 6 with producer Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, DIVINE HERESY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, GOJIRA, DEVILDRIVER) to begin recording its new CD, tentatively titled "Omen", for an early 2010 release. Working songtitles set to appear on the follow-up to last year's "Conquer" include:

* Bloodbath And Beyond
* Soulfly VII
* Off With Their Heads
* Omen
* Rise Of The Fallen
* Great Depression
* Apocalyptic Clash
* Vulture Culture
* Lethal Injection
* 7 Daggerz

SOULFLY is also recording a cover version of the LED ZEPPELIN song "Four Sticks" (taken from the English rock band's fourth album, released in 1971) for future use as a B-side or bonus track.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN recently finished recording its highly-anticipated new album, "Option Paralysis", for a March 23, 2010 release via the band's brand new label Party Smasher Inc./Season Of Mist. The opus was recorded in Orange County, California with longtime collaborator/producer Steve Evetts (THE USED, GLASSJAW, EVERY TIME I DIE).
