THE COTTON SOETERBOEK BAND Part Ways With Bassist, Drummer; Announce Replacements

June 13, 2006

U.S.-based hard rock act THE COTTON SOETERBOEK BAND have parted ways with bassist Mike Davis (HALFORD) and drummer Butch Carlson (ROB ROCK). Replacing them in the group are Wim den Boer (ABYSS, JEFF & CO) and Wilfried Broekman (SUGARFISH, MY BROTHER JAKE),respctively. "We have just finished two weeks of rehearsals in Boulder, Colorado (one of the most beautiful places in the country) at Dog House Music, preparing for our European tour later this year," stated guitarist Alan Cotton (MAESTRO ALEX GREGORY). "Great musicians and great guys, let me tell you, this band is smokin'! We are real happy to have them onboard. Because of the rehearsal schedule, mixing dates with John Custer have gotten pushed back. I will also be in Holland later this year for a few more rehearsals and for the band to finish writing the second album."

According to a posting on THE COTTON SOETERBOEK BAND's web site, the group's sound "features a fusion of classic British hard rock influences and Southern rock sensibility, bringing a refreshing honesty to the music, cutting against the grain of polished pop that's now in vogue."

THE COTTON SOETERBOEK BAND's lineup is completed by vocalist Robert Soeterboek (AYREON).
