THE COLD EXISTENCE Calls It Quits

March 15, 2010

Swedish melodic death metallers THE COLD EXISTENCE have issued the following update:

"We have come to the conclusion that we need to put THE COLD EXISTENCE on hold for undecided time. The main reason for this is that we feel we have working really hard for many years now and the band will not really move forward. The members have other bands/projects to put the energy in. So at the moment the best for the band and its members is to put it on hold. Maybe in the future if the right kinda label shows its interest and support in the band we might will continue where we took off.

"Thanks to all people, labels and bands we working with through the years."

THE COLD EXISTENCE's latest album, "Sombre Gates", was released in March 2009 through Kolony Records. According to a press release, "bearing the legacy of DISSECTION, [THE COLD EXISTENCE's] blackened/death metal non-compromising sound is also reminiscent of such seminal bands as BEHEMOTH, NILE, AT THE GATES and HYPOCRISY. Willing to tour steadily through Europe, the band now relies on the super heavy and ultra-fast sound of an Andy La Rocque-mastered (KING DIAMOND) release. Black/death metal at its finest!"
