October 20, 2005

The limited number of fan club-only pre-sale tickets for THE BLACK CROWES' first-ever New Year's Eve show at Madison Square Garden sold out in a matter of minutes — even though nine hours were allotted for the pre-sale — this week through the band's web site (www.blackcrowes.com). Fans of THE BLACK CROWES still have an opportunity to get great seats when the majority of tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, October 22 at 9 a.m. EST. This show will cap off a hugely successful year for the band who are playing what many have said are the best shows of their career.

In other news, THE BLACK CROWES' management has confirmed that the band — Chris Robinson (vocals),Rich Robinson (guitars),Marc Ford (guitars),Eddie Hawrysch (keyboards),Sven Pipien (bass) and Steve Gorman (drums) — will allow tapers at the show and that fans should be prepared for a few special surprises. This celebration of free-spirited rock ‘n roll will feature the band performing their full-length headlining set, plus support from MY MORNING JACKET and NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS.

Currently, THE BLACK CROWES are enjoying a five-night run at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, which concludes Sunday, October 23. Capacity audiences are being blown away by the band's wide-ranging set lists that alternate every night, encompassing songs from THE BLACK CROWES' six studio albums, plus b-sides and unreleased material, alongside special covers that illuminate the band's rich musical heritage.
