THE ACACIA STRAIN: Second 'Continent' Mini Video Skit Posted Online

July 29, 2008

Massachusetts heavy hitters THE ACACIA STRAIN have posted the second in a series of five "mini video skits" to promote their new album, "Continent". A new clip will be posted every Monday leading up to the CD's August 19 release through Prosthetic Records.

"Continent" is now available online in five different, exclusive packages here. The first 400 pre-orders will come with an autographed 11" x 17" poster featuring album artwork by Paul Romano (MASTODON, THE RED CHORD, TRIVIUM).

THE ACACIA STRAIN's fourth full-length release, "Continent" was produced by Zeuss (SHADOWS FALL, HATEBREED, GOD FORBID).

THE ACACIA STRAIN has announced three Northeast shows to celebrate the release of "Continent". The dates will immediately follow the band's current European trek with ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY and KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS.

THE ACACIA STRAIN record-release shows:

Aug. 21 - Portland, ME - The Station
Aug. 22 - Providence, RI - The Living Room
Aug. 23 - Poughkeepsie, NY - The Loft

THE ACACIA STRAIN recently completed a successful headlining tour across America with support from ALL SHALL PERISH, THE WARRIORS and SINCE THE FLOOD.

THE ACACIA STRAIN has posted a brand new song, "Skynet", on its MySpace page.

"'Skynet' is a band favorite," vocalist Vincent Bennett said of the track. "We figured we should debut some of our 'different' tracks so when people pick up the album they are totally confused."
