TED NUGENT Blames Liberals For Detroit's Financial Collapse

According to The Pulse Of Radio, legendary rocker Ted Nugent has a theory on why his city, Detroit, is in financial hot water. On Thursday, July 18, the city of Detroit filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection and according to Nugent it's all because of liberal democrats. Nugent told TMZ.com, "Liberal Democrats took hold of the greatest, most productive city on earth and turned it into a bloodsucker excuse-making hell . . . Liberals seem to think that what Mugabe did to destroy the breadbasket of Africa in Zimbabwe is somehow a desirable model."

Robert Mugabe rose to power in Zimbabwe in 1987 as a leader of a guerrilla against the minority white leadership. He has been accused of running a reign of terror and causing the economic collapse of the country.

Nugent added, "If allowed to continue . . . our President will do the same to the whole country. Heartbreaking and tragic."

Detroit, which has been under Democratic leadership since 1982, became the largest U.S. city to file for bankruptcy but an Ingham County Circuit Court judge ruled on Friday, July 19, that the bankruptcy was in violation of Michigan's Constitution because it would cause the cutting of pension benefits to public employees.

Last year Ted Nugent got himself into hot water after he made some controversial statements at an NRA event in St. Louis in April. Nugent said, "If you don't know that our government is wiping its ass with the constitution, you're living under a rock. . . I'll tell you this right now: if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year. . . Our president, and attorney general, our vice president, Hillary Clinton — they're criminals. We're Americans because we defied the king. . . We are patriots, we are bravehearts. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"

The rocker eventually had a meeting with the Secret Service to make sure he wasn't threat to the President.
