Los Angeles-based bassist Kevin Chown (TARJA TURUNEN, BOMBASTIC MEATBATS) has posted a promotional video for the track "We Light The Way" from his "Light The Way" EP, which was released digitally on May 8. The clip, filmed and edited by Dalen Muster, can be viewed below.

"We Light The Way" features the talents of female lead vocalist Angel Travis, with additional vocals from Chown, as well as contributions from guitarist Jeff Kollman (BOMBASTIC MEATBATS, COSMOSQUAD, GLENN HUGHES),drummer Jono Brown, and Marian Tomas Griffin on backing vocals.

"Light The Way", which was recorded and mixed by Kevin Chown at The Groove Bubble in Sherman Oaks, California, with additional production by longtime friends Jono Brown and Jeff Kollman taking place at World Of Mouth Recording in Agoura, California, features Chown on bass, cello and lead vocals on the opening cut "Alive", Kollman and Jeffery Marshall on guitars, drummers Adam Gust and Jono Brown, and Marian Tomas Griffin on backing vocals as well as co-lyrics on "Ties That Bind" from Chown's former TILES bandmate Chris Herin.

Physical copies of "Light The Way", all personalized by Chown, will be available from link textwww.kevinchown.com starting May 21.

Chown is currently recuperating at his Los Angeles-area home after undergoing brain surgery for epilepy May 2 at USC Medical Center. A special video message from Kevin, recorded only five days after surgery, can be viewed on the Kevin ChownGoFundMe.com page, at which so far has raised almost $25,000 in contributions to help offset Chown's considerable out-of-pocket expenses from his recent medical procedures.

A native of Escanaba, Michigan, Chown first made a name for himself as a member of highly regarded Midwest progressive hard rock quartet EDWIN DARE, which issued three albums in the 1990s, before becoming a much-in-demand session and touring musician with likes of Ted Nugent, ARTENSION, Tony Macalpine, TILES and UNCLE KRACKER. He teamed up with former EDWIN DARE bandmate Jeff Kollman and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith in the BOMBASTIC MEATBATS in 2008 and joined Finnish superstar Tarja Turunen's band in 2010. He appears on Tarja's 2012 "Act I" live CD/DVD and tracked bass for her upcoming studio release, "Colours In The Dark", produced and mixed by Tim Palmer (PEARL JAM, U2) and scheduled for an August/September release via earMUSIC.
