TAPROOT Singer Says He Feels Comfortable Touring With CHEVELLE

August 11, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: TAPROOT plans to stream its entire new album, "Blue-Sky Research", at its MySpace.com webpage from Friday, August 12 to Sunday, August 14. But in the meantime, the band is also promoting the record's release the old-fashioned way as openers on CHEVELLE's current tour. TAPROOT singer Stephen Richards told Launch that the two bands make a good combination. "CHEVELLE, we toured with those guys with DISTURBED on the Music As A Weapon tour, with them and UNLOCO," he said. "I think we feel really comfortable with those guys on tour, especially this time, because it's really laid back. There's not a lot of ego and you know, like, they're not cocky, they're really nice guys, everyone's being kind, they have a great crew, we have a really cool crew. So I just don't know what the hell happened on that DISTURBED tour (laughter)."

"Blue-Sky Research" arrives next Tuesday (August 16).

TAPROOT continues its tour as openers for CHEVELLE tonight (Thursday, August 11) in Birmingham, Alabama. The two bands will stay on the road together through late October.

TAPROOT's new single, "Calling", is now also available as a ringtone through most wireless carriers.
