TAPPING THE VEIN To Mix New Album In July

June 13, 2007

Philadelphia's TAPPING THE VEIN will enter RaxTrax in Chicago, Illinois on July 14 with producer Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE) to begin mixing its long-awaited new album. "We're very excited to be working with Neil on this," says drummer Eric Fisher in a statement. "Time and time again, on tour, we were told we sound much better live. I'd have to agree the band is heavier and more powerful live. I think we were able to capture that this time around with Neil."

Vocalist Heather Thompson adds, "TAPPING THE VEIN took a new approach to the writing of this album and I am really pleased with the result. I think we've managed to streamline and 'pump it up,' so to speak, without sacrificing any of the emotional impact that we insist on."

TAPPING THE VEIN's new CD is tentatively scheduled for a fourth-quarter release via Nuclear Blast Records. The band and its management are currently looking for touring and packaging ideas for late in the year and early 2008. Interested parties should contact [email protected].

TAPPING THE VEIN's last album, "The Damage", was released in 2002.
