TALISMAN Pulls Out Of Germany's UNITED FORCES OF ROCK Festival, PRETTY MAIDS Steps In

August 10, 2006

Legendary Swedish/American hard rock act TALISMAN, featuring former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN members Jeff Scott Soto (vocals) and Marcel Jacob (bass),will not be able to appear at this year's United Forces Of Rock festival — set to take place October 1 at the Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg, Germany — due to Jeff Scott Soto's involvement with JOURNEY.

Commented Marcel Jacob: "It was something we looked forward to do — but I'm sure everybody understands how big a thing it is for Jeff to do the tour with JOURNEY. In a good world we will have a chance to make it up to those who've been disappointed."

Taking over the slot for TALISMAN at this year's event will be none other than Danish hard rock band PRETTY MAIDS, who will exclusively showcase songs from their upcoming studio album "Wake Up to the Real World", due out November 10 on Frontiers Records.

Commented PRETTY MAIDS singer Ronnie Atkins: 'Me and the boys are looking forward to play the United Forces Of Rock festival at the Rockfabrik and to perform some new stuff from our forthcoming and first longplayer in four years, 'Wake Up to the Real World'. As always I'm sure it's gonna be a kick-ass party to play in our 'second home country' Germany. It's gonna ROCK!!"

The billing for this year's United Forces Of Rock festival is shaping up as follows:

FAIR WARNING
PRETTY MAIDS
HOUSE OF LORDS
MAD MAX
DANNY VAUGHN
