TAKARA To Embark On West Coast Mini-Tour

September 4, 2010

U.S. rockers TAKARA will play their first show in many years on October 30 at Paladino's in Tarzana, California. Guitarist/founder Neal Grusky states, "We will perform all the classic TAKARA songs from each of our five studio albums.

"This show will be the first show of a West Coast mini-tour that will take the band from Los Angeles areas shows to southward to San Diego for a few shows.

"No words can express my excitement and anticipation from all these long hard years of waiting to perform, and dealing with a never-ending array of obstacles and hurdles that seemingly appeared each time I had planned on performing.

"I will not say much more about the show [online] 'till I make an official announcement regarding all the shows, and the band itself.

"Let me just say this will be the biggest event for the band since the release of the first album in '93."

TAKARA's latest album, "Invitation To Forever", was released in October 2008 in Europe via SPV Records, and November 2008 in the U.S. and the rest of the world through ProgRock Records. The LP is also available directly from the band via its web sites and through all digital music stores.

"Invitation To Forever" featured Grusky alongside Gustavo Monsanto (REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE) on vocals, Björn Englen (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on bass, Patrick Johansson (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on drums and Brook Hansen on keyboards. The album also included an extraordinary reunion with Jeff Scott Soto on back-up vocals.
