SYSTEM DIVIDE Singer Forced To Leave EPICA Tour

October 29, 2012

Vocalist Miri Milman of the extreme metal formation SYSTEM DIVIDE — featuring members of FEAR FACTORY and ABORTED — has released the following statement:

"My dear friends and SYSTEM DIVIDE fans out there, I'm afraid I have some bad news to share. Due to a family crisis back home, I had to depart the [North American] tour [with EPICA, ALESTORM and INSOMNIUM] after a week of shows. Doing this was probably one of the hardest choices I ever had to make, but family comes first and I believe that it's very important to support your loved ones when they need you most.

"I'm truly sorry if this decision may disappoint some of you and hoping you understand and still go to support the band that is currently continuing the tour without me. I have no doubt that my lovely band members will still put a hell of a show for you guys and that my amazing hubby [fellow SYSTEM DIVIDE singer Sven De Caluwé] will do his best with doing my parts as well, Please make sure to go and show them some love in these hard times.

"Looking forward to go back on the road as soon as possible. Llove you all and bless you America."

The official lyric video for "Ephemera", a brand new song from SYSTEM DIVIDE, can be seen below. The track's release serves as teaser for the band's upcoming second full-length album, due out on Metal Blade Records in 2013.

Comments SYSTEM DIVIDE vocalist Sven De Caluwé: "We are extremely excited to get this out. It has been amazing to see Pete transform this into the mastodon it turned out to be. This is, without a doubt, the most epic and challenging material the band has EVER worked on just the tip of the iceberg in regards to what we have in store for the second album. I hope people will be as excited about it as we are."

SYSTEM DIVIDE is:

Miri Milman: Vocals
Sven De Caluwé: Vocals
Mike Heller: Drums
Mendel Bij De Leij: Guitar
Andrei Aframov: Bass

SYSTEM DIVIDE's full-length debut, "The Conscious Sedation", was released on September 14, 2010 via Metal Blade Records.

Founded in summer 2008, SYSTEM DIVIDE set out to revolutionize the conventions of the over-saturated melodic death metal genre, proving that extreme metal can have more depth than blast beats, while female vocals do not have to conform to the precepts of the "goth" genre.
