SUICIDE CITY Begins Recording New Album

January 16, 2007

SUICIDE CITY, the new group featuring ex-BIOHAZARD guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei and former KITTIE bassist Jennifer Arroyo, entered the studio on January 1 to begin recording its new full-length album, tentatively due this spring. "[Jennifer] went it and banged out the 10 tracks (could be more; stay tuned) in a mere few days and A.J. [Marchetta, guitar] already wrapped up his awesome-ness on the record," the band writes on its web site. "Today, our very own Karl 'The Crawler' [Bernholtz, vocals] heads in to begin the vocal onslaught." The group adds, "The new material is taking SUICIDE CITY to the next level... and we can't wait to share it all with you."

SUICIDE CITY will make its next live appearance this Friday, January 19 at The Silo in Reading, Pennsylvania. Also scheduled to perform are 50 CALIBER KISS, FIVE MINUTE FREWAKSHOW, BETRAYED BY INNOCENCE and NINETAIL.

In other news, SUICIDE CITY's Jennifer Arroyo and Karl Bernholtz were interviewed by Roxwel last November during the CMJ Music Marathon about their video for the song "Give Me Your Pity". Watch the video interview at this location.

Since the May 2005 release of the band's self-financed EP, entitled "Not My Year", SUICIDE CITY has reportedly sold over 5,000 CDs hand to hand, without the help of "proper" distribution.
