SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: Next Year Will be 'The Year Of The Cycos'

October 10, 2003

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES have posted the following update on their official web site:

"What up Cycos and Cycettes?

"We've been getting alot of emails in the last couple of days with more questions about updates etc.

"The band and friends have been working on several projects, sorting out various opportunities, and trying to deal with various logistic problems and now it's all rolling forward. There'll probably be several updates every week and often one a day. Although we try not to post things that are tentative, unfortunately some things just change...or as they say, 'shit happens'. :)

"We're gonna forward all the info on new CDs from the various affiliated groups on Suicidal Records and BHG Musick as things get finalized. We'll be posting updates on the band's new STudio...we're working on it now and it will be used to record the new INFECTIOUS...and we're gonna film the whole process and hopefully add the DVD to the CD package. There will be more updates about the Eastpak Resistance tour and special gatherings we plan to set up. That and a whole lot more.

"We're calling 2004 'The Year of the Cycos' and with releases by SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, INFECTIOUS GROOVES, CYCO MIKO, and several other bands, I think you'll know why too.

"But for now, let me hit back a few of the most common emails.

"ST tour... The only dates set up now are the Eastpak Resistance tour. There will be a World tour following the release of the new ST CD next year, but no dates are being booked at this time.

"ST CD...There will be at least one, and possible two ST CDs released next year. We have several meetings in the next couple of weeks and will have more info, and hopefully we'll know the release date before the Eastpak tour is over. As soon as we have it sorted, we'll let you know.

"INFECTIOUS [GROOVES]...as we posted yesterday, there will be an IG CD next year. There will be a bigger post on this in the next couple of days...we have a couple unique situations/ opportunities that might interest some of you :)

"DVD releases...We've been trying to get Sony to let us put out a DVD with all the ST videos on it, but so far have been unsuccessful. We're hoping that next year they will let us. This would include all the videos from the out-of-print VHS 'Lights, Camera, Suicidal', and the videos done after that.

"We're also hoping they'll let us put out a DVD with the INFECTIOUS videos on DVD, including the concert that was filmed at the Universal Ampitheatre.

"No Mercy Fool! ...this CD just needs to be mixed, but at this time probably won't be released till after the new ST and IG CDs.

"Suicidal Records...No we are not signing any other bands, sorry. We have seven groups signed and we can only put out four CDs a year. It's not fair to ST, or any of our other bands, nor do we have the time. Also, we do not [critique] CDs.

"Lyrics...Our computer with all the lyrics crashed and they were all lost. No one has time to print them all out now. However we will start posting on a Lyric link and we'll start with the songs that we get the most requests for, and or some or all the lyrics are missing from the lyrics sheets. If you're wondering, the most requested lyric is 'Sorry?!' and we will post the lyrics shortly.

"Merch and new catalog...the shopping cart should be back up shortly. We had to switch servers and the old shopping cart was not compatible with the new server. Brandon has been working on it and it should be back running soon. We won't be doing a new catalog till next year when the new ST CD is out.

" 'What The Hell Is Cycoville?'...Unfortunately, when the computer crashed we lost the emails of most of the people that wrote. There's several that we meant to get back to so if you're wondering why no response, please write back. For those that don't know what the hell we're talking about, lol, we'll be alot more specific in future updates and some we'll be super vague...Hey now, how fun would life be if it was too simple?

"Lastly...thanks for everyone's patience and support. Things are starting to roll now and hopefully you will roll along with us."
