SUFFOCATION: New Video Interview Available

June 28, 2009

Buick McKane (a.k.a. Emily) conducted an interview with Frank Mullen, Terrance Hobbs and Guy Marchais of legendary New York death metallers SUFFOCATION when the band played New Orleans, Louisiana on June 17, 2009 as part of the Summer Slaughter Tour. Watch the 10-minute chat below.

SUFFOCATION's new album, "Blood Oath", is scheduled for release in Europe on July 3 and in North America on July 14 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2006's self-titled record was recorded with Joe Cincotta (who worked on the band's last two releases) and was mixed by Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, DECREPIT BIRTH). The cover artwork (see below) was once again brought to life by Jon Zig (DEEDS OF FLESH, DISGORGE, GORGASM).

"Blood Oath" will be available in three formats exclusive to the North American territory. In addition to the standard retail version, there will be a mail-order edition available exclusively through the Nuclear Blast U.S. webstore, and a digital version through iTunes.

SUFFOCATION filmed a video clip for the track "Cataclysmic Purification" on May 31 with director David Brodsky (ARSIS, GOD FORBID, KATAKLYSM, SWASHBUCKLE).
