SUFFOCATION Confirmed For Switzerland's MOUNTAINS OF DEATH Festival

New York death metal legends SUFFOCATION have been confirmed for the Mountains of Death festival, set to tale place August 18-19 in Muothathal, Switzerland. Also scheduled to appear are SACRAMENTAL BLOOD, OPHIOLATRY, MACHETAZO, WASTEFORM, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, ARSEBREED, DISAVOWED, GORE INHALED, FLESHLESS, SUFFOCATE BASTARD, CROPMENT, CREMATION, MUMAKIL, and BRITNEY. SUFFOCATION will be touring the U.S. in November alongside FEAR FACTORY, HYPOCRISY and DECAPITATED. A new album, simply entitled "Suffocation", will be issued in time for the upcoming trek. A DVD release is planned for late 2006/early 2007.

SUFFOCATION's latest CD, "Souls to Deny", was released in April 2004 through Relapse Records. The band's first full album of new material since 1995's "Pierced From Within" was recorded at New York's Full Force Studios with engineer Joe Cincotta and is "the cleanest, heaviest SUFFOCATION album to date," according to drummer Mike Smith.
