The NYSE's tree lighting, a custom since 1923, is believed to be the city's oldest.

Each group performed two holiday songs and one song of theirs AND in the spirit of this event, all groups are also offering a free download from Thursday, December 3 through December 13 on their respective web sites.

This year's tree is a 65-foot high, 34-foot wide Norway Spruce from New York City, New York. Situated in front of the NYSE façade, the tree is decorated with 10,000 lights in assorted colors at seven watts per bulb, 250 multi-colored balls with the NYSE Euronext logo and a six-foot star on top, all supported on a 8 x 10' base fashioned as a gift box.

STRYPER's first concept video since 1991, "Alive", from their "Murder By Pride" CD, will premier December 14. The clip was was shot in Dallas, Texas with director Michael Sarna (MEGADETH, ORGY, ANTHRAX, FEAR FACTORY, CANDLEBOX).
