STRATOVARIUS Launch Online 'Tour Diary'

August 19, 2005

Finnish melodic metallers STRATOVARIUS have launched a "tour diary" section at their official web site. There are currently three entries available from the band's guitarist/mastermind Timo Tolkki covering the early part of the group's South American tour in support of their new album. Read it at this location.

STRATOVARIUS' new self-titled CD is scheduled for release in the U.S. on September 13 via Sanctuary. A video for the album's first single, "Maniac Dance", was shot on April 15 in Helsinki by director and guitarist Timo Tolkki's old schoolmate Antti Jokinen (BEYONCÉ, WYCLEF JEAN, KORN, MISSY ELLIOT, NIGHTWISH, SHANIA TWAIN, CELINE DION).

STRATOVARIUS will be teaming up with INTO ETERNITY for a North American tour beginning in mid-September.
