STORMZONE To Support GEORGE LYNCH In Spain

February 20, 2008

Irish band STORMZONE will support George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB) during his tour of Spain. Confirmed dates so far include Barcelona (March 13),Bilbao (March 14) and Madrid (March 15). Apart from performing a full support slot, STORMZONE will also return to the stage to back George Lynch during his own set, which will give STORMZONE vocalist John "Harv" Harbinson an opportunity to accompany George during songs from his DOKKEN and LYNCH MOB days!

STORMZONE also features David Bates on drums from legendary NWOBHM band SWEET SAVAGE. One of David's many admirers is METALLICA's Lars Ulrich who was blown away by the new STORMZONE drummer when he saw him onstage with SWEET SAVAGE supporting THIN LIZZY. METALLICA went on to record a SWEET SAVAGE song "Killing Time" (which David Bates co-wrote with current DEF LEPPARD guitarist Vivian Campbell, then also a member of SWEET SAVAGE) and this was included as the B-side to METALLICA's "The Unforgiven" single.

STORMZONE vocalist Harv and David Bates have previously worked together in EMERALD which was formed out of the ashes of SWEET SAVAGE with all members except Vivian Campbell, who at that time had went on to join DIO.
