12 STONES Added To MEGADETH Tour

September 28, 2004

Christian hard rockers 12 STONES have been added to select dates on MEGADETH's "Blackmail The Universe Tour", which is scheduled to kick off on October 23 in Reno, NV. 12 STONES will reportedly be doing part of the trek while the rest of the tour will feature previously announced openers EARSHOT. It is not presently clear which dates will include 12 STONES, but at least one venue — The Warfield in San Francisco — is advertising 12 STONES as the sole opener for the Oct. 28 concert.

Although 12 STONES' self-titled debut album sold more than 300,000 copies in the United States, audiences are likely more familiar with STONES singer Paul McCoy, because of his guest spot on EVANESCENCE's breakthrough hit, "Bring Me to Life". The group have since issued a sophomore album, "Potter's Field" (Wind-Up),produced once again by Dave Fortman (EVANESCENCE, UGLY KID JOE, "Punisher" soundtrack).
