STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Might Expand Setlist On Tour

The Pulse of Radio reports: STONE TEMPLE PILOTS returned to life on Saturday (May 17) with a headlining performance at Columbus, Ohio's Rock on the Range festival, kicking off their first tour in more than six years with a 17-song set heavy on audience favorites and radio hits. But bassist Robert DeLeo told The Pulse of Radio that the band might delve further into their five-album catalog as the tour goes on. "There's songs off 'No. 4', our fourth record, and I think there's songs off our last record, 'Shangri-La-Dee-Da', that we didn't really play live," he said. "Our set really revolved around mostly the first and second record, and more of the radio-friendly songs. But when you do a set of 15 songs, and they're all songs that people know from the radio, that's not a bad thing."

STP announced their reunion with a private seven-song show in Los Angeles last month, which might surface on DVD.

Joining STONE TEMPLE PILOTS at the two-day Rock on the Range event were FINGER ELEVEN, SHINEDOWN, SERJ TANKIAN, STAIND, DISTURBED, ASHES DIVIDE, 10 YEARS, THEORY OF A DEADMAN, FILTER, PAPA ROACH, 3 DOORS DOWN, KID ROCK and others.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' reunion trek ends in late October, after which the band may enter the studio and begin work on a new album.

The band plays on Tuesday night (May 20) in Cleveland, Ohio.
