STONE SOUR, MASTODON Confirmed For United Arab Emirates' DESERT ROCK Festival

STONE SOUR and MASTODON have been confirmed for the Desert Rock 2007 festival, set to take place March 9-10, 2007 at the Dubai Country Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

March 9, 2007:

CHILDREN OF BODOM
IN FLAMES
THE PRODIGY
STONE SOUR
MASTODON

March 10, 2007:

INCUBUS
PRIME CIRCLE

More bands will be announced, including the headliners. A total of 10 acts are expected to perform over the two days.

STONE SOUR's second album, "Come What(ever) May", has been certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of 500,000 copies.

The album, which debuted at No. 4 on the Top 200 with over 80,000 units sold in its first week, has been on the Hard Rock Album Chart's Top 10 since release 18 weeks ago, and features the hit singles "Through Glass", "Sillyworld" and "30/30-150". The latter has also been nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category, where the band will face stiff competition from SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON and MINISTRY.

"Come What(ever) May", has been certified gold in Canada for sales in excess of 50,000 copies.

STONE SOUR will tour Canada as openers for EVANESCENCE in January.
