STIGMATA BC Signs With DEBELLO RECORDINGS

July 15, 2008

Debello Recordings has announced the signing of the hardcore punk band STIGMATA BC.

Formed in Brandon, Florida in 2007, STIGMATA BC consists of former and current members of KHANN, LEGIONS, BODIES IN THE GEARS OF THE APPARATUS and HEADVICE.

STIGMATA BC vocalist Joshua Vitale comments on the signing: "We are very proud to be working with Debello Recordings. Debello is one of those labels that I feel will come to be recognized as one of the more honest and truly DIY operations in hardcore and metal (think early Robodog, Level Plane, etc.) as the scene progresses into an even more diluted and bastardized state. We're very happy to find a home where one's integrity and taste in music takes priority over the ability to push units. Please look for our vinyl release out later this year — with neither side benefitting financially from this venture, we want to state that this release is for an amazing cause that both parties truly believe in. Thank you."

The group is slated to release a non-profit debut 7" EP with all proceeds going directly to the Vitas Hospice Charity Fund. The VHCF is non-religion-affiliated organization specializing in the embetterment of living conditions in end-of-life circumstances by assisting hospices and those who cannot afford medical attention who are terminally afflicted with cancer.

"The guys in STIGMATA BC have proven themselves as a group of hardworking individuals promoting true compassion in a scene riddled with those seeking selfish ends," states Debello president Jean Wagner. "We've all lost loved ones to cancer. All parties involved in [the project] believe that this is the best way to improve the condition of life for those currently afflicted with the disease — at least until a cure has been discovered. If this campaign is a success, I vow that Debello will continue similar operations for various other worthy causes in the future and hope that others will adopt the same notion. Please get involved."

STIGMATA BC's debut effort is entitled "Addicted to Misery" and is due out in the fall.
