STATIC-X To Premiere New Video On 'Headbanger's Ball'

Wayne Static and Tripp Eisen from STATIC-X will be guests on this weekend's edition of MTV2 "Headbanger's Ball". The two of them will be there to talk about their new album "Shadow Zone", and premiere their video for "The Only". In addition to being a guest this weekend, Static will be hosting "Headbanger's Ball" on September 27 and October 4 while regular host Jamey Jasta is on tour with HATEBREED.

In other news, the band have finalized the track listing for "Shadow Zone", which hits stores October 7 through Warner Bros. Records. It is as follows:

01. Destroy All
02. Control It
03. New Pain
04. Shadow Zone
05. Dead World
06. Monster
07. The Only
08. Kill Your Idols
09. All In Wait
10. Otsegolectric
11. So
12. Transmission
13. I Feel Nothing

"The Only", "Otsegolectric", and "Destroy All" can currently be heard in their entirety here.

Wayne recently spoke to Metal Hammer magazine about the forthcoming CD.

" 'Shadow Zone' is the next step for us," he said. "It's not like [1999's] 'Wisconsin Death Trip' or [2001's] 'Machine' — it's a new thing. When you hear it, you'll know it's STATIC-X, but we tried a lot of different things and have a whole new approach to songwriting. It's a very diverse record with some of the heaviest, moodiest stuff that we've ever done.

"I feel these new songs are the best we've ever written and it sounds great. It's the best sounding record we've done — really huge. Everyone's going to dig it. I can't see any of our fans thinking sucks. It grabs you."
