STATETROOPER's NWOBHM Roots Run Deep

September 21, 2004

STATETROOPER, the reunited British hard rock outfit fronted by former MSG (MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP) singer Gary Barden, have drafted Tony O'Hora on bass guitar, a man better known for his roles as frontman for outfits such as thrashers ONSLAUGHT, NWOBHM veterans PRAYING MANTIS, '80s rockers HIGHWIRE, his own HORA-KANE project, AOR band TORINO and even '70s glam titans SWEET.

STATETROOPER boast a membership rich in NWOBHM tradition, citing credits with acts such as WEAPON, WILDFIRE and HERITAGE. The band recently made an impressive return with their Michael Voss-produced sophomore album, "The Calling" (available via the band's own CIC Records).

A full STATETROOPER biography and discography can be found here.
