May 16, 2006

SPITFIRE's new music video for the song "Life And Limb" will see its MTV2 network premiere this weekend. The video will debut on Saturday, May 20 as part of MTV2's "Headbangers Ball". "Headbangers Ball" airs Saturday evenings at 10:00 p.m. EST on MTV2 in the USA.

"Life And Limb" is the first video from SPITFIRE's heralded new album "Self-Help", which was released February 28 on Goodfellow Records. "Self-Help" was the first new release by the band since reforming in 2005 and is their first new full-length release in more than five years. The band, originally a quartet, now consists of six members total with the addition of guitarists Scottie Henry (NORMA JEAN) and Dan Tulloch (SCARLET) into the line up.

SPITFIRE are currently on the road in the U.S. with UNDEROATH, POISON THE WELL and AS CITIES BURN. This sold-out tour comes to an end on Wednesday, May 17 in Fayetteville, AR. After that, the band is confirmed to play the Ichthus and Cornerstone music festivals in June and July and will be announcing more tour dates in support of "Self-Help" shortly.
