SPIDERS & SNAKES To Get Dramatic On The Road

March 6, 2008

Hot on the heels of the release of their eighth studio release, "Melodrama" (Corporate Punishment / Koch) Los Angeles glam icons SPIDERS & SNAKES will embark on their tour since 2002's brief West Coast "London Daze" trek. With dates sprinkled along the West Coast, the band is also looking towards the Midwest to visit a fanbase that hasn't seen them onstage since the mid-'90s. The band's Hollywood appearances draws celebrities as varied as members of the bands BUCKCHERRY, MARILYN MANSON, POISON, GUNS N' ROSES and film and television stars such as Kelsey Grammar, Alyssa Milano, Christina Applegate and Jack Black.

With "Melodrama", SPIDERS & SNAKES deliver an aggressive, attitude-laden in your face piece of work not seen since their "London Daze" release. Drummer and co-founder Timothy Jay remarks, "The fans have really responded to the heavier material on 'Melodrama', especially when we play songs like 'Friends Like You' live — quite the contrast to the acoustic tour that Lizzie and I did for 'Hollywood Ghosts' a few years back..." The effort has been rewarded nicely at radio with the albums first single "Shoot Me Down" debuting in FMQB's top ten and CMJ's top 11 Loud Rock stations the week it went for radio adds, being spun on tastemaker stations such as Phoenix's KUPD, San Francisco's KUSF, WRUW in Cleveland and Detroit's famed WRIF, among others.

The band is slated to appear in not one but two films in 2008. The first, a documentary on Hollywood legends GUNS N' ROSES and the other being "Hollywood Rocks", which also contains one of the last known on camera interviews with the late Kevin DuBrow of QUIET RIOT.

Among the stops the trio will be making this spring includes the first annual Motley CrueCon on March 22 at the Canyon Club inside the Four Queens Hotel on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas.

Lastly, the band is also featured on "Hollywood Rocks" LP boxset featuring Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven (original GUNS N' ROSES members),QUIET RIOT, RATT, WARRANT, L.A. GUNS, GREAT WHITE, Vince Neil and Mick Mars of MÖTLEY CRÜE and more.
