SOULFLY To Hit South America In April

February 11, 2007

SOULFLY's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"There's many new things to say with this post. First, we'll start off with the best information; SOULFLY shows. In April, SOULFLY plans to undertake a small South American tour to countries such as Mexico, Argentina, and Chile. However, exact dates for these shows are still being confirmed. This is very exciting, because SOULFLY's been trying to get some proper shows lined up in South America for quite some time. The shows won't be until April, but dates and ticket information should be available shortly, so stay tuned. SOULFLY will also be playing the Vina Rock festival in Madrid, Spain on April 28th. It's a Saturday and its a very eclectic lineup, so it should be a fun time. More information, including tickets and directions can be found at their website, VinaRock.com.
"Marc Rizzo [SOULFLY guitarist] is playing more solo shows in support of his 'Colossal Myopia' album. Head over to his MySpace page, www.myspace.com/marcrizzo, to hear him let out some of his dark growls over top of his incredible shred for the first time ever on his new demo track, 'Silent Till Disturbed'. His tour dates are as follows:

Feb. 16 - Fredericksburg, VA - KC's Music Alley
Feb. 22 - Manchester, NH - Milly's Tavern
Feb. 23 - Haverhill, MA - River City Billiards
Feb. 24 - Linden, NJ - The Cup

"As we indicated in the last new post, Max [Cavalera, SOULFLY mainman] traveled to Russia in January to meet with his friends in FAQ. During FAQ's set at Oboima Festival in Moscow, Max came onstage to perform 'Molotov', 'Jumpdafuckup' and a song that he just recorded with FAQ while he was in Russia. Max went into the studio to record six lines for the track while he was in the city, but we're still not sure what the song is called and how it will be released. As soon as we receive the information, it will be posted. Until then, if you can read Russian or are a good guesser, you can check out FAQ online here, FAQmusic.ru. You can check out photos from the show right now, here, and a proper gallery will be up soon.

"SOULFLY's YouTube channel is now officially up and running at this location, www.youtube.com/soulflyband. It'll be up to date with all the official video releases and the video of the week will be added every Saturday to the video log. If you're already a YouTube member, subscribe and stay tuned.

"Finally, and perhaps most interestingly, Max is working on releasing two previously unreleased four-track songs that he worked on in 1997 after he left SEPULTURA and before the time the SOULFLY sessions actually got started. Most probably, these will be available through iTunes within a month or so."
