SOULFLY: THROWDOWN And INCITE To Provide Support On Upcoming Tour

According to SoulflyWeb.com, THROWDOWN and INCITE, a local Arizona band fronted by Ritchie Cavalera (stepson of SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera), will be the opening acts on all of the dates on SOULFLY's upcoming U.S. tour. Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

Oct. 13 - McAllen, TX @ La Villa Real Hall
Oct. 14 - San Antonio, TX @ White Rabbit Music Hall
Oct. 15 - Dallas, TX @ Rigdlea Theatre
Nov. 19 - Las Vegas, NV @ House Of Blues

While in Serbia last month, SOULFLY filmed two videos in support of the upcoming "Dark Ages" CD, due out on October 4 via Roadrunner Records. A video for "Frontlines" was filmed at a site that NATO bombed several years ago, and a clip for "Carved Inside" was shot at a 700-year-old fortress on the shores of the Danube river.

As previously reported, former MEGADETH and current F5 bassist David Ellefson will be filling in for SOULFLY bassist Bobby Burns at two SOULFLY live shows this week. Burns is unable to make the dates due to a "family emergency." The details are as follows:

Aug. 12 – Tempe, AZ @ Marquee Theatre
Aug. 13 – Long Beach, CA @ Vault 350

Ellefson played on four cuts on "Prophecy" and appears on the song "Riotstarter" on the band's follow-up album, "Dark Ages".

"Dark Ages" was produced by SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera and was mixed by Terry Date, who has previously worked with PANTERA and DEFTONES, among others.
