SOULFLY, CARCASS, LAAZ ROCKIT, ONLY LIVING WITNESS Confirmed For Holland's LOUD FROM THE SOUTH

June 17, 2008

SOULFLY, CARCASS, LAAZ ROCKIT, SABBAT and ONLY LIVING WITNESS have been confirmed for the first edition of the Loud From The South festival, set to take place Saturday, August 30 at the Klokgebouw (near train station Eindhoven-Beukenlaan) in Eindhoven, Holland.

The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

SOULFLY
CARCASS
LAAZ ROCKIT
SABBAT
ONLY LIVING WITNESS
DARKANE
PILGRIMZ
MOTORJESUS
THE LUCIFER PRINCIPLE

Commented promoter Tjerk Maas: "Hell yeah, I am very happy to be able to announce the first names. And not the least! Even though on first impression the focus may seem to be on reunion bands, a lot of these bands have been delivering quality metal for a long while now. Like headlining act SOULFLY. Every album they seem to integrate older SEPULTURA's aggressiveness more balanced into their music and I will be very surprised if anyone will be standing still during their performance. Of course, I'm also very excited to have heroes from a little further away play at the first edition of our festival. LAAZ ROCKIT has made a few appearances over the last years and I've seen them all. I can tell you my grin was as wide as singer Michael Coons'. One of the premiere reunions this year is CARCASS so I am very happy to have them play a Benelux exclusive. Just like SABBAT, who I've never been able to see back in the day. ONLY LIVING WITNESS is a personal favorite of mine and I could care less if it makes 1, 100 or 1000 people happy by having them play. I just had to have them. As well as DARKANE, now that's some good quality Swedish metal. And then there's of course THE LUCIFER PRINCIPLE, PILGRIMZ and MOTORJESUS. Bands that make me want to start head banging when the first note exits the PA system. And you don't even want to know what else we have planned. He he, of course you do but you'll have to wait just a little longer for that"

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, June 21 through Ticketservice. Tickets will cost 45 euros (plus service fees) until July 18 and after that it will be 55 euros (plus service fees).
