SOUL SIRKUS Singer Apologizes For CD Delay

November 23, 2004

SOUL SIRKUS singer Jeff Scott Soto has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Hey all, first let me say thanks from me and the guys for the amazing, kind and supportive response to SOUL SIRKUS, we appreciate your time and enthusiasm in welcoming us into your lives already! The other reason I'm writing here is I wanted to personally apologize on the band's behalf to all you 'pre-orderers' of our debut CD, in that to meet the release date of Dec. 7, we are unable at this time to get the signed copies out as promised on time. Apparently, the manufacturers will not have the CDs in stock until Dec 2 and between some shows I have overseas, JOURNEY with some final touches to this year's tour, and [bassist] Marco [Mendoza, THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE, TED NUGENT] out with his trio in Russia, we're all gone simultaneously during this time. There were many discussions as to how we could make it work, but every idea would have just prolonged the release date and we felt it more important to make it so even with the holidays upon us, everyone would get their orders filled with no further delays. We promise to take care of these autographs for once and all once we hit the road in 2005 and regret any ill will towards not having them personalized as promised, we WILL make it up to you ALL! Thanks again and watch this space SOON as the first dates will be announced (in the So. & No. CA area) soon, I believe early January.... The SIRKUS is coming and we're looking forward to kicking your ass!"

SOUL SIRKUS is the new "supergroup" formed by Soto, guitarist Neal Schon, drummer Deen Castronovo (both of JOURNEY) and Mendoza. The group's debut album, "World Play", will be available for mail order on the SOUL SIRKUS web site and the Warner Bros. Store web site. Several MP3 samples from the upcoming CD are currently available for download at this location.
