SOUL SIRKUS: Fillmore DVD On Hold Indefinitely

July 4, 2005

SOUL SIRKUS, the new band featuring Neal Schon (JOURNEY) on guitar, Jeff Scott Soto (TALISMAN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on vocals, Marco Mendoza (WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY) on bass and Virgil Donati (STEVE VAI, RING OF FIRE) on drums, have posted the following message on their official web site:

"There have been many inquiries made about the live DVD shot at the Fillmore in San Francisco this year. We asked the band and were told there were a few factors making it so it might be later than sooner this show will be made available. Since the guys are on hiatus, business dealings have become slower yet there still other things in progress which may supercede this shows' release.

"The Fillmore show now may be released at a later time as 'another' show is in the works to coincide with the (finally) official U.S. release of the 'World Play' CD to be shot later this year. 'We know there are many out there who still don't have it as it was only available at our shows (the version with Virgil) so it'll be comforting to know EVERYONE can find it at stores finally,' says Soto.

"No detailed info was given except this possible show later will be booked and shot for release first. We will fish for & keep you updated on any additional info we can get our hands on."

SOUL SIRKUS's debut album, "World Play", was released in Europe in April via Frontiers Records. As a special bonus, the entire first pressing was specially packaged in ecobook edition featuring a bonus DVD containing the videos for the songs "New Position" and "Another World" plus an interview with the band and behind-the-scenes footage.
