SONS OF SEASONS Putting Finishing Touches On New Album

October 28, 2010

SONS OF SEASONS — the new progressive/symphonic metal band led by keyboardist/guitarist Oliver Palotai (KAMELOT, DORO) — has issued the following update:

"In May 2011 we will present our new album during a release party tour in many cities. Of course we will play a lot of material from the new CD and the most wanted songs from [SONS OF SEASONS' debut album] 'Gods Of Vermin'.

"Touring with us will be MAYAN, a brand new project of EPICA's Mark Jansen! The band just got signed at Nuclear Blast and they introduce a great, really versatile sound. We think it is the perfect package.

"We can also confirm Simone Simons [who is also Palotai's girlfriend. — Ed.] to be the special guest during the tour. Since she also sings some parts on the new record, you can bet she will join SONS OF SEASONS live.

"German dates will be added. We will also organize a very special fan club meeting in Stuttgart. Not the usual 'meet the band 5 minutes and go,' but a real party, an acoustic performance of the band and some other specials. With only one album we are gifted with a great inner circle of supporters and friends and it was about time for something like that!

"In a few days the new album will go into the mix. Stay tuned for more updates!"

SONS OF SEASONS' debut album, "Gods Of Vermin", was released in April 2009 via Napalm Records. It was made available as a regular jewel case and a limited-edition digipack featuring a bonus track.

"Gods Of Vermin" was mixed at Mastersound Studios in Fellbach, Germany. EPICA singer Simone Simons — who happens to be Oliver Palotai's girlfriend — makes a guest appearance on the album.

Check out audio samples on the band's MySpace page.

SONS OF SEASONS is:

Oliver Palotai (KAMELOT, DORO, BLAZE) - Keyboards, Guitar
Daniel Schild (BLAZE) - Drums
Jürgen Steinmetz - Bass
Henning Basse (METALIUM, FIREWIND) - Vocals
Pepe Pierez (ANCIENT CURSE) - Guitar

Formed in January 2007, SONS OF SEASONS was launched as a "melting point" for all of Oliver Palotai's skills, as a musicians, composer and producer.

The group's first singer, Tijs Vanneste (OCEANS OF SADNESS),proved to be a great musician, but the band's future touring plans didn't fit the tight working schedule at his job, resulting in his departure. However, some of the songs on SONS OF SEASONS' debut album are said to have been inspired by his ideas.
