SOILWORK To Release 10-Year Anniversary DVD

March 10, 2005

Sweden's SOILWORK have announced plans to release a DVD to celebrate the group's 10-year anniversary. "We'll film some of the upcoming shows and add a lot of backstage/tour bus footage that we have collected through the years," vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid writes on the group's web site. "I think our dear bass player will get his own section..."

Regarding the present status of the band's fill-in drummer, Dirk Verbeuren (SCARVE),Strid says, "we'd like to see hime as a permanent drummer since he's such an close friend and a kick-ass drummer, so we really want to proceed with him..."

As previously reported, SOILWORK's latest CD, "Stabbing the Drama", entered the Finnish album chart at position No. 19. "Stabbing the Drama" debuted at No. 14 in the band's home country, Sweden, where the band's previous CD, 2003's "Figure Number Five", opened at No. 59.

Released through Nuclear Blast Records, "Stabbing the Drama" was recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro and Dug-Out Productions in Uppsala, Sweden with producer Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, STUCK MOJO). A video for the album's title cut can be viewed at this location (Real Media).
