SOIL: New Audio Interview With TIM KING Available

November 13, 2009

Vicky Bradley (a.k.a. Vix the Angel Of Metal) recently conducted an interview with bassist Tim King of Chicago heavy rockers SOIL. The chat is now available for streaming using the audio player below.

"Picture Perfect", the new album from SOIL, sold 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 56 on the Hard Music chart. The CD was released in the U.S. on October 20 via Bieler Bros. Records and three days later in Europe through AFM Records/Soulfood.

SOIL's previous album, "True Self", opened with 4,000 units back in May 2006 (via DRT Entertainment).

"Picture Perfect" was created by the production team of Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, STAIND),Ulrich Wild (DEFTONES, INCUBUS) and SOIL, with Dave Fortman (MUDVAYNE, EVANESCENCE) handling mixing duties.

SOIL's new album was originally supposed to be released in the U.S. via Driven Music Group, the Phoenix, Arizona-based music label and entertainment company created by former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. However, that relationship appears to have been dissolved without producing any releases from the band.

SOIL in 2007 amicably parted ways with guitarist Shaun Glass due to "personal differences." The band decided against seeking a replacement guitarist and has opted to remain a four-piece, with vocalist AJ Cavalier filling in on some of the guitar duties.
