SOIL: New Audio Interview With SHAUN GLASS Posted Online

August 7, 2006

SOIL guitarist Shaun Glass was the featured guest on the "All Knowing Force" web-based interview show on July 25. "As with most of our interviews, and especially Shaun, this interview was all over the place," reads a posting on the program's web site. "It went from barbed-wire baseball bats to homosexuality to baby raccoons. And, in the midst of all the nonsense, we even talked a little music."

In other news, SOIL's track "Forever Dead", which appears on the group's latest CD, "True Self", is featured in the new videogame "Prey". "Forever Dead" includes a guest appearance by Burton C. Bell from FEAR FACTORY.

SOIL will support STAIND on nearly a month's worth of dates beginning on Tuesday, August 8 in Topeka, KS.

"True Self" was released in early May via DRT Entertainment. The follow-up to 2004's "Redefine" was recorded and mixed at Bomb Shelter studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Ulrich Wild (STATIC-X, TAPROOT). The CD is the group's first to feature singer A.J. Cavalier, who previously fronted the California-based DIESEL MACHINE (also featuring ex-DAMAGEPLAN frontman Patrick Lachman on guitar). The band's original vocalist, Ryan McCombs, has since joined the Texas act DROWNING POOL.
