SODOM: South American/Mexican Tour Dates Announced

Legendary German thrashers SODOM will be embarking on a South American/Mexican tour in February/March. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Feb. 19 - Belo Horizonte/MG (Brasil) @ Lapa Multishow *
Feb. 20 - São Paulo/SP (Brasil) @ Direct TV Music Hall *
Feb. 22 - Novo Hamburgo/RS (Brasil) @ Adam Street *
Feb. 24 - Lima (Peru) @ Centro De Convenciones Ambassador
Feb. 26 - Bogotá (Colômbia) @ Palacio de Los Deportes
Feb. 27 - Cali (Colômbia) @ La Bombonera
Mar. 01 - TBC (Costa Rica) @ TBA
Mar. 02 - TBC, (México) @ TBA

As previously reported, SODOM has been confirmed to perform at next year's Minneapolis Mayhem 2 festival, set to take place on May 7, 2005. This will be SODOM's only North American performance. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are Las Vegas, NV thrashers AVENGER OF BLOOD. More bands will be announced soon.

SODOM are tentatively scheduled to release their first DVD in March 2005. According to SODOM frontman Thomas "Angelripper" Such, the DVD's concert footage will will contain 23 songs. An overview of the band's career thus far and additional bonus features will also appear on the disc. "Such a giant DVD we make only once in a lifetime, so I don't want to make compromises in quality and completeness," Angelripper had previously said. "But you'll not be disappointed, the DVD will be the absolute hammer, I promise!"

SODOM are expected to enter the studio in early 2005 to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in August 2005.
