SNAKE RIVER CONSPIRACY mainman Jason Slater has commented on the direction of the group's forthcoming follow-up to their "Sonic Jihad" debut (2000), due sometime in 2003 through an as-yet-undetermined label.

"SONIC JIHAD IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!," Jason wrote on the band's official web site. "I'm kidding… That shit was cool at the time, but it would sound dated as fuck if I did it again. Don't worry, the new record will be great... It ain't finished 'til it's dope. It's not about the sounds or production. 'Sonic Jihad' was a very cool-sounding record, but why do it again? It wouldn't be very clever of me to make 'Sonic Jihad 2'. This one's about payback and retribution. 'Sonic Jihad' did not get the respect it deserved. It got compared to GARBAGE for christ's sake!!!!! That ain't gonna happen again."
