SMASHING PUMPKINS Plan Residencies In Asheville, San Francisco

Jonathan Cohen of Billboard.com reports: The SMASHING PUMPKINS will set up camp in Asheville, N.C., and San Francisco for multiple-night stands this summer, during which they will draw from a different set list each night.

The Billy Corgan-led group will visit the Orange Peel in Asheville on June 23-24, 26-27, 29-30 and July 2-3 and 5. A residency at San Francisco's Fillmore is set for July 22, 24-25, 27-28, 30-31 and Aug. 1. Tickets go on sale Sunday (May 20) but will only be available online.

The PUMPKINS will release their first album since 2000, titled "Zeitgeist", on July 10.

The PUMPKINS will give their first live performance in nearly seven years on May 22 at the Grand Rex in Paris, France.
