SLIPKNOT, WICKED WISDOM Members To Deliver Keynote Speeches At RIVER MUSIC SUMMIT

The Daily Nonpareil is reporting that SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "The Clown" Crahan and WICKED WISDOM frontwoman Jada Pinkett Smith will kick off the third annual River Music Summit Saturday (June 17) with one-on-one interviews and questions from the audience. The River Summit, which is described as a day-long conference designed to enhance the regional music community in Iowa and Nebraska, runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Mark O'Shea, former road manager for SMASHING PUMPKINS and NINE INCH NAILS, will lead the touring panel beginning at 1 p.m.

The River Music Summit A&R panel will judge submitted demo tapes from all genres of music, with the winner being added into regular rotation on 89.7 The River.

Tickets to the third annual River Music Summit are $15 and are available at all Homers Record Stores, etix.com and onepercentproductions.com. Tickets are good for the music conference at the Mid-America Center and all live shows at Sokol Auditorium.
