SLIPKNOT's THE CLOWN Launches Side Project

SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan has teamed up with vocalist Brandon Darner and guitarist/bassist Stevan Robinson in a new band called TO MY SURPRISE (formerly THE ORNGE).

The project, whose musical direction is being described as "a hybrid of folk, '70s rock fuzz and schizophrenic grooves . . . [not a million miles removed from] QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE," has finished recording their self-titled debut album with producer Rick Rubin (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLAYER) for a September release through Roadrunner Records.

Says Crahan, "I always said no-one understands... No one does," "I have changed... Therefore you will change with me. Enjoy! Shawn PS: The Clown made me do it!"
