SLIPKNOT: Debut Album Expanded Reissue To Arrive Next Month

February 2, 2006

According to a posting on the SLIPKNOT fan site Metabolic666, the 2006 re-issue of SLIPKNOT's self-titled debut album from 1999 is scheduled to arrive on March 14 via Roadrunner.

The re-issue will be a double disc and will most likely contain live tracks, demos recorded prior to the album or possibly a bonus DVD. No information has yet been revealed on the bonus-disc material that will be included in the package.

SLIPKNOT went on hiatus at the end of 2005 after nearly 18 months on the road in support of their third album, 2004's "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)".

SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root are now recording the second album from their other band, STONE SOUR, while percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan will make a new album with his side project, TO MY SURPRISE. Meanwhile, SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison has been confirmed as the drummer for the touring lineup of MINISTRY, which will kick off a 60-date North American trek on May 6.
